SANTIKA 2025 – National Seminar on National Defense Informatics Successfully Held, Highlighting the Role of Automata in Modern Informatics Innovation

The Informatics Study Program of UPN Veteran Jawa Timur has successfully held SANTIKA (National Seminar on Informatics for National Defense) 2025 on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, online via Zoom Meeting. With the theme “Exploration of Automata Models and Computational Theory in Modern Informatics Innovation,” this activity serves as a scientific forum that brings together researchers, lecturers, students, and information technology practitioners from various institutions to discuss research developments in the field of informatics and its relevance to national development and national defense.

The seminar series featured two keynote speakers: Dr. Aryo Nugroho, S.T., S.Kom., M.T., and Muhammad Alfian, S.Tr.Kom., M.Tr.Kom. Both delivered material aligned with the theme, highlighting the role of computational theory, automata, and modern computational approaches in supporting innovation in informatics. The presentations were interactive and moderated, providing participants with concise yet comprehensive insights.

This year’s edition of SANTIKA 2025 featured 42 papers submitted by participants from various universities and research institutions across Indonesia. All papers underwent a peer review process, resulting in high-quality research presentations relevant to developments in information technology, ranging from artificial intelligence, IoT, machine learning, information security, to visual computing.

As a token of appreciation, the committee presented two major awards at the closing ceremony. The Best Paper award went to Maisie Yunita Malva for research deemed outstanding in terms of innovation, methodology, and contribution to informatics. Meanwhile, the Best Presenter award went to Muhammad Adeva for his communicative, coherent, and engaging presentation.

Through SANTIKA 2025, the Informatics Study Program at UPN Veteran Jawa Timur affirms its commitment to strengthening its research culture, encouraging academic collaboration, and developing technological innovations that have a real impact on society. This activity is expected to continue to be a productive space for knowledge exchange, idea development, and competency building in informatics, particularly in facing the increasingly complex challenges of the digital era.
