In the FGD activities conducted with Alumni, several Minutes were produced, namely:
- Development of Cloud Infrastructure & Microservices
a) Cloud infrastructure is currently developing very rapidly and is becoming a trend in the industry.
b) Many graduates are not ready in developing microservices-based applications.
c) There needs to be an emphasis on Cloud network architecture and Cloud Computing in the curriculum. - Need for IT HR in the IT Solution Field
a) The industry needs HR who are not only able to create applications, but can also explain and present them to users (Presales role).
b) There needs to be encouragement for student certification in related fields.
c) Web Programming courses need to be adjusted to include junior web programming competency units. - Need for IT Graduates in Government Agencies
a) In government environments, IT graduates are often considered all-rounders (like “palugada”), assigned to all things related to computers.
b) Several government agencies already have internal developers, so graduates need to be more prepared specifically and technically. - Needs in Kominfo
a) Graduates are needed who understand and are able to handle aspects of website security, vulnerability, and network security.
b) Knowledge of the KAMI Index and SPBE (Electronic-Based Government System) is needed. - The Importance of Entrepreneurial Spirit and Soft Skills
a) Graduates need to have an entrepreneurial spirit, not just take irrelevant Entrepreneurship (KWU) courses.
b) Soft skills such as public speaking, effective communication, and the ability to sell ideas are very important.
c) It is necessary to add special courses or modules that form soft skills based on the needs of the IT industry. - The Role of IT Consultants
a) The world of work requires graduates who understand IT governance, data maturity, and frameworks such as COBIT.
b) This knowledge needs to be introduced at the undergraduate level.
c) Strengthening Algorithm Material
d) Many IT graduates are not yet able to implement algorithms in real programming.
e) It is necessary to deepen the material and practice implementing algorithms in the existing curriculum.
